SUMMARY:  The Communications & E-Marketing employee is responsible for disseminating the internal and external communications of the Link Brand, for the development and maintenance of social media/networks and for conducting data research and analysis on markets, customers and competitors. The coordination, development, execution and maintenance of brand, promotional, media, and communication tools and materials that foster awareness of Link® products and capabilities to both internal and external stakeholders, including the local community. The goal is to gradually achieve superior customer engagement and intimacy, website traffic and revenue by strategically exploiting all aspects of the social media marketing roadmap. In addition, the Communications & E-Marketing employee will coordinate pertinent information within all departments of the company:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 Communication & Social Network Responsibilities:

  1. Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification.  Coordinate all social media channels including Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter for the company.
  2. Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action.
  3. Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
  4. Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information.
  5. Collaborate with other departments (customer relations, sales etc) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions, coordinating all internal communications including company newsletter, daily agenda, All-Staff meetings, and production display information.
  6. Coordinate all external communications including advertising, press releases, and other public relations; maintains key press contacts.
  7. Coordinate all community involvement initiatives for the company, develop special-interest stories, press releases, about the company and employees marketing Link to the community and surrounding area.

 E-Marketing Responsibilities:

  1. Create email marketing campaigns to promote products or services, ensuring marketing message is conveyed clearly and delivered properly to prospects.
  2. Ensure all messages are mobile-friendly and include a persuasive ‘call-to-action.’
  3. Create database of emails for lead generation, follow up on interested respondents purging non-deliverable email addresses and opt-outs.
  4. Track and analyze direct and interactive marketing campaigns using statistical analysis and reports evaluate campaigns’ effectiveness.

 General Responsibilities:

  1. Actively participate in bi-monthly marketing review meetings and coordinate the effort of the Communication Steering Team.
  2. Participate in continuous improvement programs by offering suggestions and by exhibiting initiatives within areas within direct control.
  3. Work with Manager, Marketing & Communications to outline creative and communication budgetary needs
  4. Performs other duties as requested by the Manager, Marketing & Communications.

 QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills; written, verbal and visual. Must possess strong creative, social media and writing acumen. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

This position may require overnight travel and the ability to operate a motor vehicle for participation in trade shows, training, and promotional events. Not to exceed ten percent (10%).

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or Business major from a 4-year institution required, or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Creative design experience preferred.

 OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Specific computer software experience Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) and ability to initiate, maintain and implement information about the company in internet based social media outlets.
