HOURS:  Day Shift - 6:00 am - 2:30 pm, Monday - Friday

 

SUMMARY: The Maintenance Level 1 employee is responsible for performing a variety of duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, preventative maintenance systems to support Link’s business goals and objectives.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform a variety of duties to install and maintain production and facility’s equipment.
  • Provide unscheduled repairs of production equipment to minimize production downtime.
  • Performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment to maintain equipment.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues of production machines.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
  • Comply with safety guidelines and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Two-year certificate from college or technical school; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.  Knowledge of Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry helpful.

 

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:                      

  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. 
  • Ability to read, comprehend and follow simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Willingness to cross-train within the department.
  • Ability to be self-motivated while maintaining a positive work attitude and maintain regular and predictable attendance.

 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Requirements:

- Must be 18 years or older.

- Pass pre-placement drug screen and physical.
